Windsor issues EOI looking for “visionary” developers interested in building housing
https://www.ontarioconstructionnews....lding-housing/

Would be great to see a unique and substantial development for this Caron Avenue site. So much untapped potential.

Let’s hope they have at least one interested party. Population growing at breakneck speeds and no high rises being built is a problem.

Federal Site in Windsor

I noticed that in the Land Bank website announced yesterday by
Fraser there is a huge 350 hectare site in Windsor to be developed. Won’t post info because too weird on this site but it is a Canada Post site on Tecumseh Road. Massive!

I think you read that wrong.
On the news they're saying the government announced over 300 hectars in total, across 28 municipalities. The one site in Windsor is an old Canada Post distribution center on Tecumseh road just east of Pilette. It's just a corner lot.

awesome!
glad to see some further details.

I believe that is the Glenkash development across the street from Victoria Park Place.
Their site shows a couple different versions of the proposal. I personally was hoping they'd go for the 24 story building but I guess beggers can't be choosers lol

No, it's another company from BC. We received a letter because we are living nearby.

A couple 6 storeys being proposed. One in the core and the other at the city limits with Tecumseh town.

Renders for 117888 Tecumseh road east

In my opinion, that design for 1140 Goyeau street is very pedestrian for a development in the downtown core.

Another fried chicken joint?! There will be 5 of them in the neighbourhood.
Glad they're building a second structure in that massive parking lot.

The city bought the land for the next phase of the widening of Cabana/Division road. That is the final stretch to be expanded from Huron Church road all the way through to Walker road.
After that phase is done they'll be moving on to the portion known as Airport road/County road 42

It’s for the next phase of the Cabana Rd/Division Rd. reconstruction.

Well in typical Windsor fashion...
The new build happening on Forest Glade Drive behind the old princess auto is another cookie cutter, lack luster , bland ass 6 story Piroli Development.
I know the original plan that went to council was for a 9-10 story building.
Scaled down and simplified. Blah!
