Too often Philadelphia just can’t get out of its own way.

And across the street, 933 N Penn street is apparently moving forward according to Naked Philly's Instagram story.

I can't believe Waterfront Square never finished their other 2 towers or just put a proper street level entrance to the property. It's always looked unfinished.

Thats a disgusting proposal for that area.

Also do they plan to finish the other two towers? or at least fix the landscaping, and build something else? I'm sure they would sell out if they built the other two towers.

This is the first in a while that a developer wanted to change plans to add more units, usually it's the opposite.

Great news, the density from this project is amazing on Delaware Ave, That strip is gonna be popping in the coming years.

More units are good, but this is a huge downgrade at street level. Guess it goes well with the parking lots.

It looks like West Elm is closing their Chestnut Street store. I am praying that they find a new location in CC as opposed to just exiting...

Not good. If their intent is to stay, I assume they’d announce their new location in tandem of closing. Retail trends haven’t been good this past year.

That's a shame to lose a big longtime tenant. Any specific reasons why?

No idea. To be clear, I saw this shared: https://www.metrocommercial.com/wp-c...hestnut-St.pdf

I am assuming this means they are leaving but haven't seen official announcement, sorry for not clarifying before.
