For what it's worth, One WTC is more functionally advanced than the Burj, or any other current skyscraper.

^^ They bring up a great point, what is the status on the Observation deck, did the restaurant get the thumbs up or what? Personally, I'd like there to be like a Burger King or Wendy's up there, that'd be awesome, fast food with a view. Damn right lol

I believe Shake Shack was still in the competition,so hopefully eating better burgers would make the views even better.

Base Cladding

They are taking down all of the black safety netting on the south end of the base, so I assume base cladding is about to start in full force.

One World Trade Center Escalator Installation Shows Spectacular Feat Of Engineering

12/18/2012

Quote:
Workers reportedly installed an escalator on the 101st floor of One World Trade Center. A photographer captured the escalator dangling high above Lower Manhattan, as workers lifted it with a crane mounted on top of the building. The image, posted by Reddit user jacknappier, shows a spectacular feat of engineering, and provides a dizzying dose of vertigo.

One World Trade Center is already the tallest building in NYC.

The escalator photo comes less than a week after the first section of a 408-foot spire was hoisted atop the building.
