That's the bridge I was talking about - it actually starts at the foot of Church St - I thought this thing was basically a done deal a few years ago (see the cruise terminal still u/c in the background). I like it - breaks up the exit ramp from I-10 - we just need some cool lighting and good landscaping around the base. I don't think it is too big - looks like a sail (which is the point).

Funding has already been approved for another one - wouldn't surprise me if they are already working on it. Carnival has not stated they are bringing a new ship, but everyone else thinks they are. The strange thing is that I've heard Royal Caribbean for years now and nothing concrete has come of it.

Perhaps we could add levels to the existing garage at the terminal?

I guess what I meant before was that they need to use more color. It doesn't have to be CRAZY, but I mean COME ON!
Just look at the Cruise Terminal....This is one of those structures that comes to be a calling card of a city...sometimes even a symbol. Sure, it SEEMS like just another pedestrian bridge, but look deeper...I'm gonna leave it at that
