I feel like it's been shooting up pretty fast lately. I can see it coming from South Lamar/South Congress/South 1st

I love that curved swoop of the hotel facade and how it perfectly frames the lake.

Omg same. I am obsessed with the toothpick partitions too. It's all very Jetsons

We need more towers / mid-rise projects that curve around their surroundings. SXSW is a great example, but I' love to see that in the hills.

Yes! I've said it before, but I hope Austin fully embraces its Googie identity on the high-rise level. Gimme a crown that mimics LAX's theme building

Interesting... I wonder if the tower gained 3ft?

the 74-story, 1,025-ft-high Waterline tower that will surpass its nearest rival when completed in late 2026.

Unfortunately I doubt it. The article uses rounded numbers throughout and longhorn cattle as a unit of weight.

So, I guess we hid 6XG pretty well, huh!?!

Also, there is only one Jenga tower: 56 Leonard in New York City (see below). The Independent is a stacked box building, of which there are many around the country, and is far from Austin's coolest building.
