The Star Metals webcam offers a view. Far away, but still a view.

Who is the general contractor? That'll be your best clue as to what cameras they use if any, not everyone is on board with Oxblue.

The general contractor is Taisei USA, the US subsidiary of Tokyo-based Taisei Corporation. Taisei has been around for 150 years and has built a lot of huge projects worldwide.

Thank you! News articles referred only to Rockefeller teaming with Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank and Taisei USA, so its now apparent that Taisei's involvement was either financing or project management for Rockefeller. After reading your post, I found an announcement of Turner's GC role posted on Linkedin last summer by Turner VP/GM Kevin Jenkins.

As always thanks Julien for snapping pics as you run around. In this in and the several other threads I just saw. Always appreciated.

To me, maybe I am wrong, but it looks like they are building the elevator core, like the IBM Tower did?

This one's going up the same as all other recent developments in the city. One floor at a time.

Isn't One Atlantic Center steel? For a building with concrete slabs (which I'm sure this one will be), it wouldn't make sense to build a core first.

Yes, it's a steel tower. I remember when the "IBM Tower" was built in 1986. Its concrete elevator core was constructed first, then the steel structure was built around it.
