Drive those piles!

Has anyone seen a Pacific elevation or rendering midblock West to East ? I’m trying to see the courtyard and parking entrance?

So your suggestion CV’s development agreement on the site just evaporated once TN sold it to Northlands? That’s the same as saying the new purchasers of St Regis can flip the site to a third party and they have no contractual obligation back to the CV development agreement. That wouldn’t fly today unless they have modified the contract...

That’s correct, there were no contingencies in the purchase agreement between CV and TN. The development agreement was for True North to find a hotel developer, that was fulfilled. The site is solely owned and being developed by Northlands, CV has no options on this property whatsoever.

I don't think CV would hold them to anything if there was a potential that they could finish it a year or two late. I'm sure CV would rather the project finish late than have to throw someone off of a partially finished project. If the developers hands are tied and they need the time to make the project feasible then CV has to play ball because they stand to lose also if they project fails.

Additionally I have zero clue if there is any kind of agreement, or what could be in it.

Edit, I took too long, this post is irrelevant.

🤔 We can assume CV was paid in full for what ever purchase price was agreed to and proceeds used to pay down debt or offices expenses.

It'll be interesting to see if/how they restore the brick where all that white and green is.

I believe it either says

or

With all the new development along Waterfront Drive is the city planning on doing anything with Alexander Docks? Embarrassing how long it has been a complete dump for

The BIZ and The Forks have begun planning for temporary activation while the long term plan is sorted out. Was sounding like they were hoping to have something for summer but with COVID might just be pushing it back a bit.

Sounds like there will be a more robust connection and activation point at the docks to the River Trail this winter, as long as the freeze allows the trail to go that far again.

It's possible this was covered earlier in this thread (TLDR), but what's the story with 130 Galt (i.e. that massive, massive warehouse)? I see it all the time and think of it's potential as a podium for 4 mini-rises (within the bounds of Exchange District guidelines). Is the building still functional and housing a company or companies?

This would be an impressive (although very difficult) development to complement the creeping improvements just south in the NE Exchange.
