If built like the renderings, that easily becomes BART's best designed station.

Well, it's in the Bay Area so I think both San Jose and Oakland should be in there. It's easier for me to see what's going on in the Bay too. That's just my opinion though.

If the station is going to be that massive and take up that much real estate in downtown SJ, I would like to see BART borrow ideas from Asia and TTC and build a mall and other retail in, around, and on top of the station, along with housing even higher up. There is simply a lot of wasted space here, and if one has to weave left and right, and descend so deep underground to access the platforms, at least provide some retail so that the walk isn't so dull.

It's going to be a block away from San Pedro Market Square, Silvery Towers and Miro Towers if that answers your question. Also, next to the hopefully renovated Saint James Park (they didn't start the renovation yet)

The downtown SF stations should do this too. Connect all the BART stations with clean subterranean passageways lined with retail and food stands.

Just passed by The Graduate last night. Looks like they have steel work for the second floor already.

Just for future reference:

Honestly, A LOT OF GOOD INFORMATION in this document.

SPARQ Projected: June 2019

The James (Marshall Squares) Projected Feb 2019

Park View Towers is projected Winter 2019? (I think they made a typo and it should start Winter 2018)

DTSJ is hosting next years CFP National Championship game @ Levi's stadium. There will be free concerts, interview session with the players and coaches at SAP Center and a free convention for fans.

100k people are expected to be here for the event. Huge boost for the local businesses + the city gets national attention of 25-30 million viewers:

New renderings for Market Park. This is located adjacent to the Berryessa BART station.

I always wonder why large developments like these, near a walkable transit oriented area, don't do away with the street grid. It is walking oriented, yet it's developed with a car centered layout. Leave two streets in there, and change the rest of the grid to tree covered walkways. Geez, it's depressing seeing so little care for the experience of whom will eventually become a local. Seems like a small step forward, with another step backwards.
