Wow, over the course of 5 very short years, there is now a significant 2nd Jersey City skyline. It's like Jersey City's version of Century City in LA.

JC is already having it's own distinguishable downtown. In the 80's to even the 90's, it wasn't possible. Now JC has NJ's tallest building. However, I still believe that Newark, being NJ's largest city will only follow JC in building skyscrapers and may even take JC's crown of having NJ's tallest because while many may not consider Newark to be a major city alongside Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Detroit, it does hold it's own in many variables such as having one of the busiest air hubs, a busy train station, and F500 companies such as Prudential and PSEG HQed in Newark. Here's to a bigger JC and an even bigger Newark.

It's wild to see this type of development in Journal Square.

Crazy to think that Jersey City - effectively a burough of NYC in every way but name or official status - has two distinct skylines that rival or surpass many mid-tier US cities.

Looking forward to the day when Journal Square and Exchange Place can combine into one. I think it's possible.
