Also, I was surprised at how yellow the stonework seemed in this photo, but I guess it's just the time of day or something...I've never noticed that contrast before seeing it here.
I really like the way the entrance turned out along with the connectivity to Shoal Creek. I look forward to the rest of the construction in the area wrapping up so we can see what it looks like altogether.
My only beef here is with the substation (of course). Given that it's not going away any time soon...can I at least complain about the fact that the art-fence doesn't go all the way around? I understand why...but at least plant some trees or something on the east side of the substation. I'd be okay with some taller shrubs or even vines on the fence. Years ago PEC redid a lot of their substations in their whole region with pre-fab stone fences rather than chain link. Even something like that could work here on the non-art part of it.
