That's a strange sight after being an abandoned lot for so long.

Looks as though there's a dewatering rig on site. If the watering issue continues, we may see this one take as long as U Condos.

Just noticed, shouldn't the thread title be 75 stories?

Oh man, U Condos is so glacial it might as well be going in reverse.

Yes, the title should be changed to 75. I think the new height is something like 255 m (837 ft.).

It is a deep excavation. I am not sure how much rock had to be removed. It will also take some time to reach street level.

Toronto is really developing... I used to work in the building next door and the view was significantly different down Yonge.

It will be incredible in the coming years.

"September 25, Ward 27 Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam said she and City planning staff are presently reviewing 27 separate development proposals for properties on Yonge Street between the waterfront and Eglinton Avenue"

I've been waiting a long time, but it looks like Canada will get a major world metropolis in my life time. Toronto isn't there yet, but I have confidence that the last remaining pieces of the puzzle will fall into place in the next 20-30 years.

You can feel it happening.
