Awfully quiet on this forum...

As a pick-me-up, there is still a lot of activity in Goose Hollow. Crane shot shows Lincoln High School cranes (plural!) in the foreground, then the Butler Block apartment project, and then the red crane for the ART Tower.

Beautiful shot! Nice to have a reminder that life continues to go on beyond what I can see out of my windows.

Yeah, I have gone for a few drive around towns because my toddler will only take naps in the car and have been seeing all the construction still going on. We have also been taking a few social distancing walks in Forest Park, which has been nice. Good to see projects that were under construction still continuing. I am not so sure about any of the buildings that haven't started yet.

From today's land use review intakes:

"We are proposing a 17-story building with a point-tower at the West side of the site that would widen at the lower levels to span the site from SW 20th to SW 21st. The proposed building would be 173¿ as measured from Base Point 2 in Figure 930-7. The pre-app is intended to gauge likelihood of approval of proposed Zoning Map Amendments."

I'm confused. There's already a 15 story tower on that site (an ugly one, but nonetheless). Maybe they're going to build over the garage?

My guess is that they will demolish the hideous parking structure on the north side of the Portland Towers and construct an entirely new tower. Certainly we should hope so. Take a look at the garage's blank & brutal east elevation on SW 20th Avenue facing Providence Park. Anything would be better than that.
