Really hate to slag a brick podium, but most times it is redolent of existing/past brick structures.

If this was a church site build I might buy in... but it's odd.

You could put it in a lot of places and it would be perfectly ok. Unremarkable. Not interesting, exciting, stylish, or attractive, but also not unattractive or offensive. But this is on one of the main downtown streets in the largest city in the country yet the project is just basic and non-descript. There's absolutely nothing elevated about it justifying its presence in such a setting.

agree to disagree but to me TeaHouse is one of the top 5 nicest projects under-construction currently.

this entire land is part of the project and architects are Foster+Partners, KPMB, Claude Cormier+ Associates, SHoP Architects and KPMB. architect for the particular building is SHoP.
