It looks like they've started adding glass to the top part of the double floor, via Earthcam. But they still haven't finished the previous floor...

Is it possible the glass is slowing down on purpose?

I was wondering if it might be less of a risk if it was down & out of the way when they are placing the "antena-spire" sections, the sections will be bigger than the steel beams and require some movement to hoist into place.

^One World Trade Center should be the least of your worries-the cranes on top of the building are of my particular worry.Either way it goes, one should always be cautious of any possible outcome.

They are talking about Hurricane Sandy, which is on a direct path to come ashore somewhere between DC and Boston as a weak Category 1/strong tropical storm. More alarmingly, a massive cold weather front is moving easterly over the Midwest right now, and could merge with the hurricane right as it comes ashore, ala the "Perfect Storm" of 1991. Basically, we're staring down the barrel of a very strong nor'easter. It should have no effect on 1WTC, but we are going to be either very lucky (ala Irene), or be dumped on circa this Monday/Tuesday with a pound of snow or rain or a mix combined with gale force winds. Happy Halloween!
