I read it as "stuff" the first time.

I was also wondering whether the Tim's would now be absorbed into the development next door (even though it is a relatively new building - the rest of the one to be demo'd are of similar age).

Bonnis would have to acquire the building. They developed, and own all the other buildings in the project to the north, (except the Commodore, that they acquired), but not the building that replaced Kripps.

Ahh, that makes sense - ownership held over by (or transfered from) Kripps.

It was developed by Fleetwood Investments in 2010.

A&W has closed at 778 Robson Street (bedside SportsChek).

Fatburger is opening at 734 Granville Street (former Ronson's Shoe Store).

There's one close by on Granville but it's usually sketchy AF.

At Granville Island this weekend and noticed Bridges will be closing September 30 for rebranding. Anyone want to lay bets it is a Tap & Barrel?

Jollibee is opening a 3rd location, despite none of the previous ones having opened, at Cambie & Broadway in the recently completed building there.

Seems like someone bought it.

A&W?

The A&W on Granville was renovated and is very clean. Open 24 Hours for Delivery. Food is ok for fast food.

I don't find Granville sketchy at all. Sure there is the usual homeless hanging out and sleeping. It is my understanding most of the drug dealing in the city is dial-a-dope.

There are much more questionable places in the city imo

Surely couldn't be any more of a disgusting tourist trap (but I've been wrong before).

Anybody know what's happening to the old Milestone's at Cambie and West 8th? They closed down right after COVID hit, and I was under the impression somebody else picked up the lease, but it seems like nothing is going on. No "for lease" signs either.

Anybody know if Coast has really gone downhill of late? Their reservation openings have been wide open and continue to be so, whereas I've had a devil of a time securing reasonable reservation times at Blue Water, Miku, etc.

All the remaining Glowbal leases just came up so I assume they all renewed?

From what I've observed, judging by the amount of people using Bridges patio during the Spring and indoor dining restrictions, there's a lot of locals going there.

To me there problem has always been branding. Is Bridges the fancy dining room on the second floor or is it the nachos and beer place on the ground floor. I expect whatever brand takes over will use both levels for the same experience.

The restaurant scene on Main Street is stretching further north, from the main cluster in Mt. Pleasant. A nice Afghan restaurant is opening up in the retail section of the new build at 5th and Main.

https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/zarak-vancouver

Bit of an isolated spot right now, but things will quickly densify with a subway station close by. Eventually we will see a contiguous street life stretching from Main and 30th right through to Chinatown, or a a bit over 4 km's.
