There's at least two old (very modest) hotels being rehabbed into new hotels at Selma and Wilcox. That area is anchored by the beautiful Hollywood Citizen News building (1930)and Claud Beelman's US Post Office (1937) for the WPA.

Half a block east from Wilcox and Selma, a new
Dream Hotel is being built behind the neo-Georgian Marion Building (former home of the Spotlight bar).
It's reported it will have a rooftop jungle, maybe with monkeys.
