Not in my experience, at least

We don't really have a lot of rednecks like mainlanders mean. Skeets are the lowest class here, and that's a more urban thing - kind of closer to a chav. Closest thing to rednecks we have are aggressively bay (rural) b'ys with their Fox Racing jackets and skidoos and white sunglasses; or actual people back from Alberta that say with a straight face Fort Mac or Grande Prairie has more to do. But they're a small minority. Our skeets are more track suits, thick accents, baseball caps, gold chains, knives, bumming cigarettes, big struts when walking, "goof" is the worst thing you can call them. And then within that, these days, opioid zombies.
