Considering the cost of materials and problems with financing (unless Trump helps them out), I'm sadly becoming more dubious that this will rise any time soon.

Or at all, they seem determined though so fingers crossed.

I think 350 has a better chance since they secured a tenant, which is still no guarantee but a step in the right direction.

There’s no doubt about 350.

I'll be more optimistic when it's rising and well in the air.

I have no idea what is going on with this, but I see a large roll-away dumpster next to the Hyatt on the Park Avenue viaduct filled with what looks like old carpet. I’ll keep an eye out to see if I see other demolition materials in the coming weeks. Could be nothing.

Could be nothing. But I don't think the entire building was reopened when it did. So could be some pre-demo work. Demo will take longer than usual, so they might want to get a start on anything they can, even though construction would begin at the same time as real demo.

I’ve been predicting that S&C would consider moving. 125 Broad is isolated and depressing. Hopefully, they’d consider175 Park. S&C owns its eyesore downtown and can move at its leisure.

S&C must give its attorneys Prozac to endure spending twelve hours per day in this depressing prison.

I don’t think so, but 125 Broad is crap, and so is the neighborhood. It could be amazing if it gets a massive road diet, a lot more greenery, and becomes much more residential.

It's not an interview, just briefly mentions a quote from him regarding the purchase of 590 Madison Ave.

I don’t recall SOM having this on their website previously. If that’s correct, Perhaps, this is a sign that there’s some momentum.

^ They aren't new renderings. We won't know if it's moving forward until Rechler says something about it.

The improvements to the corridor are going to be magnificent.

P.S.: The illustrator is a little cheeky.

This one is older too, but always sweet to look at.
