Good to hear : The facility is expected to be designed as a multi-storey building with a focus on creating a homelike environment and incorporate resident care features such as individual rooms with ensuite bathrooms as well as indoor and outdoor multi-purpose spaces. Construction is anticipated to break ground in the summer of 2024 and is aimed to be complete in late 2026.
So this means it’s going to be two stories awesome

A few more pics from over a few days. https://imgur.com/a/jlcCT3U

Most of the exterior of the Harbour Landing Coop liquor store is finished. They had been moving scaffolding and heated tenting around the outside to do the stucco. New Shell gas station opened last week.

Jumping right into the first of 7 three story townhouses in Westerra. Foundation was complete last week and the floor deck was nearly done today.

Forms are off the concrete bases for the 2 largest silos out at the Cargill plant. I believe those will be corrugated steel.

The construction workers must be loving the unseasonably warm weather. Though I've been finding the humidity and wind can be unpleasant.

Update: I added a few more pics from the 21st. Over 1 km of rental fencing added along the grid road west of the Cargill site.

I went past the General Hospital on Friday. The parkade is still in the pile drilling phase. There was some utility work last month before they started that, I think they extended a storm drain trunk from 13th Ave to provide extra drainage capacity.

The big warehouse on Park Street got loading dock doors sometime in the past week or two, they were all covered in orange tarps the last time I was by there. Retail expansion next to the 711 on Woodland Grove is starting to rise.

I haven't seen any new ground infrastructure going in anywhere. Next year will probably see another sizeable push north in The Towns as it is filling up fast. Arens Road should get connected over to Chuka.

I've been biking down Arens a lot the past 2 years. Starting at the Lewvan you can bike all the way east across the city on 14th to Park Street, cut through the dirt over to Home Depot, get on Arens to The Towns. When its dry I can ride through the dirt where the Arens extension will go. https://i.imgur.com/Y3u11Kp.jpg

It would be nice if they could get that walking path along the storm channel all the way to Costco so I don't have to ride down Anaquod which has no shoulder and can get busy. But a path would never get ahead of development, so that's at least 5 years off. I approach The Towns from the Costco direction if I come in from Glencairn.

This page lists Regina at 268k and Saskatoon at 347k as of data released nearly a year ago.

Would love to see the reference for your numbers. Thanks.

The only 2 hits on google for that population number are this thread, and this post https://skyscraperpage.com/forum/sho...&postcount=328 and that other post doesn't have an link to a source either. It seems the poster in that thread calculated those numbers themselves.

Also new Pinkie Road bridge tagged before it is even finished.

General Hospital Parkade: https://i.imgur.com/tnPGgcX.jpg

New building going up at GTH: https://i.imgur.com/AYgqrov.jpg

I spotted the steel from Pinkie Road but didn't feel like riding out there with the cold wind. I think that one is 4Tracks warehouse / wash bay.

Also trying to figure out the point of this rant. Is it the existing RGH that you don't like? Are you saying it should be replaced?

Or do you object to a badly-needed parkade being built there?

Don't bother wasting your time unless you like trying to decipher the ramblings of some addle-minded person.
