Might be working off old info? I'm pretty sure 805 was the finalized figure, but I'll take the extra height any day.

EDIT: Nevermind, Nick tweeted its still 805 ft.

832' was from the before times when this was gonna be a condo tower.

When the switch to rental was made they squoze a couple dozen feet outta it down to 805'.

Absolutely. C'mon bhawk, learning some new words will help embiggen your vocabulary.

Back on topic, at the end of the day, even at 805' (which is still fantastic), this tower exceeded my expectations.

Feel embigger now, lol

Past tense of squeeze is squeezed. Unless you're attempting to be mid 19th century British.

Back on topic, if this building was any taller I would be so intrepid to suggest it would look near awkward.

Have you never watched the Simpsons???

The ONE thing that makes me happiest about how this building turned out is the crown and the fact that it’s solid curtain wall and doesn’t have the weird, semi-open design that the previous iteration had.

It’s a big success, and a testament to Jahn’s talents as a great architect.

Two more lots on the park left to build on also. With this addition the South Loop is turning the corner I believe.

Is the final height 788' or is that just the solid roof under the parapet?

Also, cool pics!

Wow, I never came across the 788 figure until you mentioned it! I just checked Chicago YIMBY and saw that their articles had been going back and forth between 805 and 788, so even they aren't sure:
https://chicagoyimby.com/category/10...ichigan-avenue

CTBUH still says 805:
