I hope that Carter recreates some of the cast iron, sculpted fountains found in Europe and NY. They'd really add to the streetscape.

Yes. The empty lot is where the Weiland building was to have been built.

I biked the Art on the Beltline a couple of weeks ago and noticed huge progress on this park!

I like the fact that the article encourages Boston to be more competitive, rather than simply complaining. It would be very easy to simply complain, bash Atlanta, and profess superiority. A lot of people on this forum could stand to see things in more of a competitive way and less idealistic.

As far as I know, the MO lot has been sold or at least in the process of being sold.

New to the boards- thought I'd finally post something...

The Atlanta Business Chronicle ran an article yesterday about the proposed renovation of the GA Dome- with some renderings. Here's the link:

Someone posted a link to an alternate proposal that a local firm did. Here's that link:

Check out the rest- it looks pretty cool, and it's more integrated into Downtown and would help out the area. Plus, the Falcons wouldn't have to deal with the state.
