I saw this on Check news Facebook page. AN 18 story building in Langford.

https://www.cheknews.ca/new-18-store...untain-827167/

I also saw this on Check News Facebook page. It's the two new office high rises planned for the city. I was humored by the NIMBY's comments on Facebook. I almost forgot that this is Victoria. hahaha

Thanks for sharing GS - those are great pics! I’ll post them on the Canadian proposal thread.

Thanks Zoomer.

Here's an article on Check 6 about Victoria's Hotel shortage. Looks great for that 20 story hotel on Blanshard Street.

Here's a few photos of Hudson Place 1 that I took Thursday evening.

Here's an article about it. I love the rendering and I think it'll look amazing there too. Excited to see it get built. With the new office building at the Capital 6 building and this one along with the Atrium, driving south down Blanshard Street will have such a better city view. I'll look awesome.

I took this photo tonight from the Songhees. I thought the sunsetting on the buildings looked quite beautiful.

The brickwork orange on Victoria's historic buildings truly makes the sunset views look special.

I love seeing DD buses plying the streets of Victoria. Had the chance to sit in one of those new Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 buses two weekends ago. Boy was it nice! I wish BC Transit can paint these in brighter schemes in the future.

That's really cool Vin. I can't remember the last time I was on a bus. I have a really good friend who quite his job a couple of years ago and now drives buses for B.C. Transit. He seems to enjoy it. It's funny how often I cross paths with him on the road and he always honks and waves.

I was driving home tonight from a long day at work and I noticed the sunset was looking great so I turned around and drove down to Vic West to take some photos. I took several from the Bay Street Bridge, one from Esquimalt Road and some from the Songhees walkway. I uploaded them to my Flickr account tonight and thought I would share them on here. I think they turned out pretty well. I'm not sure why when hosting photos onto SSP the quality goes down from how they look on Flickr. Strange.

Great pictures GS! Nice lighting and some different perspectives as well. I heard that Hudson One's rooftop lighting is now different colours at night, not always blue. Also I can't see Value Village lasting much longer, that location is just too valuable.

Thanks so much Zoomer. I appreciate your compliments. Funny you mentioned about Value Village. I was thinking the same thing when I looked at my photo. Wondered how long it will be there for.

I think that's what was originally promised with that building but for some reason the changing multi-colored rooftop light feature took ~ a year but it looks great

I took this photo of Hudson Place 2 the other day. It's on the 7th floor now. I enjoy watching it going up.

I started a new photo album tonight on my Flickr account. It's of The Hudson Place 2. From concept to some early photos of the site to some current photos. I'll add more photos as I take them of the construction.

Some of those pictures go back to 2007, before my kids were even born!
