OK. They've taken out the Subway location, and there was a previous rumour of an ANBL agency store. Maybe this is it.

I thought that they were repurposing this for their head office.
I don’t know that they are actively trying to sell any of their properties. They may be just seeing what the market will offer to get an influx of cash. I think that with market conditions changing, they may no longer have the upfront capital to build all the projects they want to build. Especially with the delays in the riverview buildings, they may have previously anticipated having rent coming in on these buildings by now. I think if one of the properties they’ve listed happens to sell, they’ll take the rest of their properties off the market.

I just drove by today. They are digging a pretty big hole, probably bigger than I would suspect for an ANBL agency.

We'll have to keep an eye on this.

Are they replacing the tanks in the ground for the gas station? Keep in mind that I don't know where on the property the tanks are or where the hole is.

They had to rip the old foundation and I think they have to remove a lot of contaminated soil from the previous business that was there. If you are old enough to remember Maritime hydraulic had there shop there way back like 35 years ago.

And the tanks are on the opposite side.

Makes sense. I'm sure that building codes are more strict than ever. They never loosen them up, so I'm sure that's what it is.

Work is apparently about to begin on the new skateboard park located at the Moncton North YMCA on Twin Oaks Drive. Construction fencing has been installed.

Our friends at Infinity Aerials have been busy again. Here's a drone shot showing the current status of the Franklin Yards project on Millennium Blvd.

You can see that the current location of the tower crane allows for concurrent work on buildings 3 & 4.

Here is the website for The Cidery, off of the Homestead Road, on Lutes Mountain:

https://www.51acres.ca/the-cidery?fb...3SWLT7TULKFI9Q

Although a working cidery, they are marketing this business heavily as an events venue, especially for weddings.

Quote:
Situated in the hilltops of Moncton, New Brunswick, our venue and speakeasy cider house brings Napa architecture to the East Coast. While you get ready in your private suite designed with photographers in mind, your guests will be awed by the limewashed walls of the great hall as they soar up to the wood ceiling and bronze chandeliers. Picture yourself walking down a herringbone aisle to a wall of bronze-lined windows overlooking the meadows below. While you have your photos taken throughout the equestrian meadows, orchard, vineyard, woodland trails, and willowed ponds, your guests can enjoy cocktails and cider in the art deco speakeasy housed in the lower stone level of the venue that spills out onto a patio. The great hall will be transformed to welcome your guests to the reception with a granite bar in the breezeway that leads out to a sprawling upper-level terrace. Your caterers will have access to a fully equipped catering kitchen. Minutes from the Magnetic Hill area and Downtown Moncton, your guests will have ample options for accommodation and transportation at the end of the night. You’ll make memories that will last a lifetime, we’ll make them beautiful.
The Cidery is part of the larger 51 Acres equestrian centre.

Quote:
a state-of-the-art equestrian facility, orchard, vineyard, and event center. Our estate has now expanded to include 90 acres of riding trails and cross-country courses
This is now the third vineyard in the Lutes Mountain/Magnetic Hill section of the city.

According to the T&T, the city of Moncton will evaluate a plan that could see the main roadway into the Magnetic Hill theme park area diverted, and converted to two way traffic. The current covered bridge entrance will be maintained, but will be used only for cyclists and for pedestrian traffic. The proposal would cost $5.12M.

https://tj.news/times-and-transcript/102173499 (paywall)

The plan has not been agreed to, and the money has not been budgeted, so nothing will happen for a couple of years at least.
