Thumbs up

I froze it at the 2:53 second mark. That is such an amazing shot !!!
I remember 15 plus years ago wishing we had an awesome skyline. I had a dream one time about us having an awesome skyline and then I woke up and was so disappointed it was a dream. I still remember that dream and the skyline I dreamt about was NOTHING compared to our current skyline. Just an amazing journey we have been on for the last 15 plus years !!

Waterline is at 52 floors now. Took this pic from the Fairmont over the weekend.

^ That's a good way of putting it. We should do that from now on. Instead of saying something has X stories remaining, we'll say it has <insert building name> left to go. New process for our discussions to make things more entertaining...

Looks like they are about 1/3 done with the residential section. I noticed today it seems the residential section doesn't have the same burnt orange trim as the other sections.

It would be a lot cooler if it did have the burnt orange all the way up. Hopefully some burnt orange lighting at the top too. It makes a huge impact at ground level but at that high up, not so much.

The orange trim is going up on the NE facing side.

Wow you have to think the Lakeside Apartments and the World Class property warehouse lots at Trinity and Caesar Chavez have to be probably be the most prime speculative real estate in Austin after Waterline finishes...

Lakeside is City managed senior housing, so that's not likely to be developed any time soon. But something big should happen at the 99 Trinity site pending the CC rebuild.

I'm kind of hoping the city will eventually work a swap-out with a developer that might allow for larger replacement senior/disabled housing elsewhere in the cental city in exchange for development rights at this very prime location.

Lakeside should be demolished and redeveloped into a new senior/affordable housing high-rise by the city. Maybe a partnership with a developer? The place is very outdated.

Also 99 Trinity is no longer owned by WCP
