Great photos.

Though of course I wish this were taller, it is a nice transition between Comcast and the low-rise Logan Square neighborhood, and fills a skyline void from the Western views.

These hight are not in Philly range anymore , Philly is building more 200-300 ft building , also Philly is a small market when it comes to Big development right now

To be honest I love how the west face of the CTC still stands out. Sure it's giving the finger to the west, but it's a great Foster design and I wouldn't want such a tower to block the CTC. But I'm no architect or developer, not my choice

There's a little more to it than that. 1, this is custom built for CHUBB so presumably this is the amount of space they actually need. 2, iirc this was for whatever reason in a height-control zone for the Parkway, and needed community support and variances

As PurpleWhiteOut stated, there is more to it...

1. More like 200'-400'. There are 2 buildings U/C over 400', and 4 realistic proposals over 400'.

2. Development on a national scale has slowed due to rising costs and financing issues, and that is why Philadelphia is not seeing more substantial towers moving forward right now.

3. Outside of NYC & Miami, are there that many "big development markets" right now? In terms of adding new skyscrapers, Philadelphia is comparable with what I see in Boston, San Fran, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, and a little bit behind Atlanta.

Essentially all markets are small markets while interest rates and construction costs remain high.

Yeah, can we not again with the truly reality-detached comments prentending Philadelphia exists a vacuum and somehow should perform separately from global/macroeconomic trends of:

1. The obvious decline of brick-and-mortar retail;

2. Completely stagnated commercial (and increasingly, residential) development viability;

3. A white-collar jobs recession;

...all of which are impacting literally every major city on every continent?

Look no further than the "Proposals" forum, folks. It's nearly as dead as a doornail outside of cities that could be counted on one hand (and those cities' economies are heavily based on real estate ponzi schemes).

And given the global economic trajectory that doesn't exactly spell a "boom" in office jobs anytime soon, no one should have any illusion that it should somehow be different for Philly, "if it wasn't for [enter rant about local political issue]."

Always have loved this view of Logan Square. Schuylkill has been really frozen this year so far.

Sort of generic, but solid infill - and considering how long this land was a surface parking lot, a massive upgrade. Nothing offensive here.

That orange paneling pops in a nice way. Gives it a little more character than your average glass midrise. I also like the slight green tint in the glass.

Pretty decent! I like the setback from the lower, orangish section to the upper, glassier section.
