Originally I don't think so, as the plan was to keep the old building (or at least its exterior walls) and reading back there was to be "stacked" car parking with a lift. Whether the plan changed after the fire and collapse, I don't know.

Thanks, guess we will see what happens next. Hoping that crush is just for stable ground for shoring equipment.

Regardless, this will be a great addition to the development along King W.

Shoring equipment appears to be on site, but no workers when I walked by. I have to assume if the shoring equipment is on site then shoring is imminent.

I'm looking forward to this one as opposed to the so-so project across the street.

Haha I walked by today and got pretty much the same picture. I noticed the skid of cement mix on site, guess its good enough to pour around the shoring.

I mean it's the exact same stuff. The only questions I'd have are why. It's got to be far more expensive and that's definitely not enough to fill more than even one of the bore holes, if that.

City just tweeted that this block of Caroline will be closed tomorrow for "Crane works". I assume crane assembly here.

It actually says Caroline from King to Bay. Lol. I’m going to assume it is supposed to say Caroline from King to Market and not King from Caroline to Bay.

If nobody has posted a photo by tomorrow I'll take one and post. I'm off work today at home.
