That proposed building in Pearl (at Quimby) is also 250'. Not sure how that affects the response to your question. Yes and no?

I read it as "You guys think this will be the tallest building to be completed in a long time?" Like recent past, not future.

As mentioned in my other post, really awesome to see development progress in the month I've been away from the office. Would like to see a few more of these to round out the Goose Hollow neighborhood.

Looks great and it’s highly visible from 405. That area needs the bodies, too.

Final phase of Press Blocks development tops off construction

Construction crews have officially topped off the second building part of the Press Blocks redevelopment in the Goose Hollow neighborhood.

A spokesperson with CKC Structural Engineers-based in Bellevue, Washington, said the Byline apartment building on Southwest 16th Street, which will bring 341 apartments, topped off on construction in the middle of September. The building on Southwest 17th Street, which will house office space, topped off at the end of August.

The Press Blocks is a mixed-use development in Goose Hollow where The Oregonian's printing facility was previously housed.

The finished product will bring a 24-story high-rise apartment building and a four-story office building called Canvas at Press Blocks.
...continues at the Portland Business Journal ($).

Looks so great there, especially as mentioned before, coming south on 405 it is very prominent.

The addition of a high-rise building in Goose Hollow points the way to its future as an urban residential neighborhood.

It's coming together nicely. That area of Goose Hollow has a lot of potential. There are at least 3 or 4 sites other in the vicinity that would be suitable for high rise development; I hope that something happens with them when the development market returns.

I am so happy this tower finally got built, I was worried it would be another one of those proposals that never happened.

So nice to see a dead zone in a high density neighborhood come to life. I remember waiting for the MAX many times next to the concrete bunker haha. What a nice change.

This thread was started 10 years ago. Nice to finally see this one come to fruition.
