Cool! It looks a second wave of development around O4W park is cranking up.

Is Alta on the Park officially under construction? It looks like a lot more has been going on in the last couple of days.

Their land disturbance permit has been issued so its possible that they are moving forward with construction.

I moved Alta on the Park to "under construction". With the amount of activity on the site, it is clearly moving toward construction. Counting 22 14th street which also prepping the site to get underway, that makes 11 highrises under construction in Midtown alone. And to think that a couple of years ago, I was happy that we were able to eke out a couple of towers following the recession.

Citywide, there are about 130 projects proposed or under construction. And this is considering that there are numerous other townhome / duplex projects not on the list.

I like the look of the glass on the tower.

The Business Chronicle had an even more curvy rendering of the Hanover Midtown tower. I think this will be a nice development and different from anything else in Midtown.

Wondering if anybody knew what was being constructed here?
https://www.google.com/maps/@33.8732.../data=!3m1!1e3

It's right off Mercer University Drive at the intersection of Flowers Road S and Brandywine Road. I think the FBI is building something around here but not sure as to its location?

I thought the new rendering looked different but at a glance I couldnt figure it out. Thanks for pointing that out. And I also like the redesigned base and the new lines in the tower. I agree - it's very nice and different. Should fill in the 7th street area nicely.

Seventh Midtown is now complete and its nice infill. I just wish we would start zero-lot-line-ing our buildings at the street level in multi-development blocks like this and Peachtree & 5th.

There are no windows on the tragic side of the building. Though there is an entrance to the bank in that alley and there is another retail space back there that might finally be filled with the nice cobblestone parking area in the back of Seventh Midtown all but finished.

They could still have their views but the bottom 2 levels, at least, should be seamless at the sidewalk. I also think it looks pretty silly that the Viewpoint retail space has a window facing a brick wall.

It is worse than that, one of the retail spaces is literally in the alley with the entrance of the retail space facing the brick wall. You can barely see the space as you walk down 7th coming from Juniper.

For the record, I was being satirical with my post. It doesn't make sense to not connect buildings when they are developed this densely, unless terrain prevents it from being feasible.

This looks like a lower Buckhead project and that is a good thing.
