what excites me a lot about this one is its frontage on Fifth Avenue. As tourists slowly but surely trickle back into Manhattan, there's going to be a lot of gawking and picture taking.

^ It's a prime 5th Avenue site. We don't get to see a lot of major development along 5th Avenue, so this is a treat. Plus, it will be great to watch from the observation deck at Vanderbilt.

And not counting demo, it is nice to see a major post/pandemic project starting. It will be the first of many.

Still a way, but maybe someone has been by to check on the site?

Groundbreaking was supposed to be around the first of this month. Since I'm back home, I may be able to get over to the site sooner rather than later.
We'll see if anything's kickin.

If I strain hard enough here, I can almost make out something.

Walked by the site last night. It looks like there may or may not have been a ceremonial groundbreaking.

We’ll see what happens in the next couple of weeks.

I can’t wait for this. I really hope that this and Extells’s 46th St and 5th Ave tower spark a revival on this stretch of Fifth. I’d really like to see Stawski’s and Silverstein’s pieces of junk redeveloped and 530 Fifth as well.
