What is the infrastructure project going on in the bottom right of this picture?

That is an expansion to the city's light rail transit system. This is the section where it comes above ground from Churchill Station and then goes north towards NAIT.

What ever happened to those 3 BASE jumpers who lept off the Pearl last summer? Did they get jail time or just a fine or does anyone know?

Love that tower and I like how it dominates everything in the area.... for now anyway!

Love how it dominates as well, cannot wait to see what retail will be going in.

Totally off topic for this thread, but that area around the arena and the new LRT station looks ripe for some serious development. Will be exciting to see how that area develops.

ON topic for this thread, The Pearl is a great addition to the skyline. The glass looks great, and the classic massing and well-placed setbacks make it a very aesthetically pleasing peak to that part of the skyline. Here's hoping it gets some equally nice-looking neighbors.
