That was great, thanks for sharing it.

Hopefully no NIMBYs happen upon it though!

You mean Doug Sahm?

Google the Sir Douglas Quintet and go from there.

Nice. My only prediction was that there'd be a mention of the Big O, and there was. I should have thought of the Americana and the Villa Capri. Sad to think that we can add the Dobie Theaters to that now. Don't want to get all maudlin on you.

I saw this today and thought it was pretty cool of Pennybacker + the Skyline.

Has anyone seen this Cold War-era documentary of an imminent attack on Austin? Freaky, man.

Video Link

...Edit: I should say 'actual' attack on Austin .

Great shots of Austin from 52 years ago.

Happy Thursday!

What was interesting was all of the people in the buildings shooting photos of the sunset towards me with flash. Hundreds using flash to shoot a sunset.

I went. I took some pictures, too, but with a dead computer I don't have a way of posting them. The weather was perfect.

Frost Bank Tower under construction. I actually missed out on a chance to do the same thing this guy did - take a trip up in the "bucket". They have this cage thing that they can pick up with the crane. It's like being a canary with a camera. I did get a chance to go up in Frost during its construction. 427MM (from the forum) and I went up. We walked around on the main roof around the mechanical penthouse.

If you're referring to Air Force One, that deal fell through.
