Sell out by the end of the weekend? Will they add some temporary seats like vs Club America?

The atmosphere is going to be awesome. I hope it's at least 75% as good as it was vs Club America.

The old record will be tough to break, 71,617 for the gold medal game at the 76 Olympics. But an impressive accomplishment either way.

On April 29, 2015, a record crowd of 61,004 attended the final match of the CONCACAF Champions League between the Montreal Impact and Club América, establishing a new record attendance for professional soccer in Canada.

it will be impossible to break the record of 71k for a soccer game, because of the giant scoreboard.

^ I do remember before a Grey Cup a number of years ago, someone from Montreal was saying it was possible to expand the Big O's temporary seating to over 70,000. The Grey Cup in 2008 had over 66,000 in attendance so 71,000 doesn't seem that far off.

I am shocked!!! RDS is doing something unprecedented (at least I don't recall ever seeing this). The Impact game on Nov 22 has been moved to RDS which means the Habs game going on at the same time (which by the way is at the Bell Center so it makes the sellout at the big O even more impressive) will be on RDS2.

Gutsy move by RDS, I like it.

Le 22 novembre prochain, le match aller de la Finale de l'Association Est sera présenté dès 20h sur RDS au lieu RDS2. #IMFC #TousPourLaCoupe

They've stretched it as much as they can but have now said no more tickets will be sold for tonight.

Attendance will be 61,004.

Largest MLS crowd in Canadian history. Unless i'm mistaken the largest crowd for a soccer game in Canadian history (tied with Impact's CCL match from a few years back). Also unless i'm mistaken the largest crowd for a Canadian sports event since the 2010 Grey Cup.

Game day!

Hopefully people don't arrive late as there will be a giant mosaic for the players' entrance just like vs Club America.

They said on TV there are about 44 entrance doors so hopefully no huge lineup.

The men's soccer final in 1976 had over 70,000 I am pretty sure.

What a gong show. The people at the Big O measured the penalty boxes wrong and the game is now delayed.
