It might genuinely be the first time some of the public has considered Comcast to be the "good guys."

Yeah it's clear that Comcast never cared about Chinatown, they just desperately don't want the 76ers to move.
I still believe the arena will be built at 11th and Market. The 76ers have put in too much work if their intent was to move to Camden. An arena in an isolated part of Camden does nothing for their vision and money. Wells Fargo Center would remain the premiere arena in Philadelphia, the NCAA, Villanova, DNC, Disney on Ice etc would stay at WFC before going to Camden, especially North Camden. Also a 400 foot residential tower isn't getting built anywhere in Camden.
The location NJ suggested at the old prison is not a suitable site. It's in North Camden, 20 minutes walk from City Hall Patco stop. If you think center city will be a traffic nightmare, a north Camden arena would be 1000 times worse. It's not walkable or accessible to public transit. If the 76ers ended up in Camden, it would be near their practice facility and BB&T.
Shame on the Inquirer for more bias reporting. Every report about the 76ers arena included something about how it would destroy Chinatown but there is no mention of the Camden residents near a potential new arena in North Camden?
This is a block away from the location. Chinatown is the in heart of the city, surrounded by density and skyscrapers. An arena in North Camden is way more disruptive and threatening to a 2 story rowhome neighborhood like this.
Lastly, shame on NJ. Camden tax credits have been given out like candy for 20 years and they haven't seen much improvement. The 76ers, Suburu etc. That didn't make any jobs for Camden residents. I was hoping without Norcross in the way, Camden could see organic development.
