Fine, but I think we can all agree it'd be more optimal at 6 or 7.

Agreed. I feel like 6 should've been the minimum (especially because wood frame can be up to six stories). 4 stories barely feels like a low rise building..It's like a big house lol.

I actually think 4 stories is perfect. It prevents hiding the skyline. We walk home from the Forks pretty often and it would be a shame if Railside blocked that view.

The heights of the 8 buildings in development for Railside are:

7 Storeys - 1
6 Storeys - 4
5 Storeys - 1
4 Storeys - 2

^ can't wait to read some of the defense of the architecture on this one.

Wow. Pink stucco and pink concrete.

And inaccurately thin columns supporting it on the exterior.

I was hoping for some weird designs and some colour so I am fine with this haha. I don't know how I'd feel living right above what will probably be a social media photo op location tho.

I like the designs... look unique let's see how they turn out... that whole area has so much potential... could make the forks even bigger attraction Than it already is of public space is well incorporated

To be honest, I like all three designs. The bubble wrap is out there; it definitely will be a place people tag on social media, lol.

Will the parking lot across from the CMHR be developed in later phases of RAILSIDE?

I think that colour is called "Pepto" not pink.

The last 2 look like some Architectural student's fever dream thesis.

I have no idea how they find developers willing to put actual money into these kinds of designs. Even once the shock and awe of the exterior display wears off, the underlying building is still a complete mess and ridiculous layout.

These could both be Centre Village 2.0 and 3.0
