Great video. Sorry about the crash. I am always afraid of doing that. That is why I have not ventured into the heart of downtown. Did you lose VLS? Got insurance? Or was it a fly away?

I have crashed a lot. Not sure what VLS is and I have replacement insurance. One of the workers thankfully knew it was mine when I was walking around looking for it, so I was able to recover it.

Oh - VLOS? I don't watch it while flying. I check out the surroundings and have an idea of where obstacles are and fly around just looking at my screen. That's why my videos are typically really erratic, because I have no idea where the drone actually is. Capturing systematic shots is difficult, especially at the Waterline site. I almost flew into a crane prior to the actual crash on the side of Quincy.

Will have a new one soon. Crash is at the end.
That’s the second drone the Quincy has claimed.

Man, The Quincy is viciously territorial!

I got a dji mini 4 pro - hopefully it's decent. Y'all familiar with this versus the mini 3s?

Not specifically. I think a much better camera but thats as much as I remember. Those cranes and buildings are a huge nightmare to navigate through. I rarely use visual line of sight as well ( dont tell the drone community, they will hang me).

It's pretty hard to hit a crane. And down with the establishment.

New 4 sucks. Can't hold up in the wind. Returning it.

Yeah more of the newer drones have a lot more sensors to avoid collisions. Figured the mini would not do well in the wind. My Air has a tough time compared to my Phantom. Worried about wind, then I wouldn't go smaller than a Mavic. Today it was way to windy for me to fly my Air, i wouldn't do my Phantom unless I had to. If its windy at ground level, its 2 to 3 times stronger at 400 ft and just increases after that.

It was actually a user error - I forgot to take something off the gimble. The 4 is better than 3s.

This sort of counts as a Waterline video - I have a shot of it at night, but heavy emphasis on the Rainey skyline and how it'll all fit in with the Travis, then swinging back towards the west. Austin looks massive.

What an incredible video! Glad you like your new drone, and your flying has really improved. I love how smooth the video is.

This is magnificent.

Austin's skyline is becoming more impressive with every new photo or video.

I love this photo from Urbannizer for the orange color. This with the white and the glass is going to be really impressive in the skyline. Thanks for the close-up.

And a Shout Out to gillkynova for you your photos. Thanks.

I love this tower! Looks like they've added a few more levels of glass on the back parking garage. First office floor has been poured. The presence of this building when you look at it from the south is just massive.
