Alex Vadia, principal of Midtown Opportunities, has sold his Six Midtown Miami development site and additional land for $55 million, two months after filing a termination notice with the county for his previously planned project. AMLI Residential, a Chicago-based developer of luxury apartments, bought the 6.6 acres of vacant property, which was the former site of a Chiquita Banana shipping facility.

AMLI has approved plans to develop about 700 apartments on the site, between 2900 to 3010 Northeast Second Avenue in Miami, according to CBRE, which brokered the sale. AMLI plans two rental building, designed by Zyscovich Architects. The north building would have 485 units in 12 stories. The south building would have 215 units in eight stories, according to a release.
AMLI has been on a buying spree in South Florida in recent months. In October, the company bought the Signature at Davie Apartments & Townhomes for a combined $114.8 million from a company led by Armando Codina. And in April, an AMLI affiliate paid $104.5 million for the 350-apartment community Modera Dadeland in Kendall.

Kobi Karp Releases Renderings Of 80-Story Tower At Former Lynx Site

By TNM Staff on November 19, 2015

Kobi Karp has released renderings for a three-tower project on the former Lynx site.

It isn’t clear who commissioned the new design. Developer Wharton Equity Partners updated their site with the renderings last week, and they also have been added to the website of a broker who has been marketing the land since last April.

The property is zoned for up to 3.2-million square feet, with the potential for a tower that is 80 stories.

Wharton is a partner in the District 36 project across from Midtown, which is well under construction.

  • World Trade Center of the America’s would be one of Miami’s tallest buildings
  • Project would have 400 condos, 240 hotel rooms, more than 500,000 square feet of retail and office space

A Holiday Inn in downtown Miami sold Friday for $65 million — and the developers behind the deal plan to tear down the 10-story hotel and build a 77-story mixed-use tower in its place.

The project, at 340 Biscayne Blvd., will include 400 condos, 240 hotel rooms, 270,000 square feet of retail and 246,000 square feet of office space, said Iris Escarra, an attorney at Greenberg Traurig who represents the developers. The city of Miami’s Urban Design Review Board has approved the plans for the nearly 3-acre site.

No problem! I apologize since most photographers are worried about copyrights and you have the emblem embodied.
I would actually rather direct link your pics than screen shot them
but it won't allow me too. Your work is to be complimented and you follow the Miami area construction boom quite well!
I should have asked you beforehand so my apologies again to you.

I'm pleased to announce my first book - Miami at Night.

It is a coffee table book with over 70 color photographs and over 40 full spread panoramic photographs of Downtown Miami, Brickell, Brickell Key, Miami Beach, Coconut Grove and Coral Gables. There are a lot of photos of the skyline and skyscrapers from angles and vantage points not usually seen. Miami at Night is available for pre-order on Amazon, Barnes & Nobles and Golden Dusk Photography.

Congratulations GoldenDusk. I'm sure you put a lot of work into it.

Is there really demand for that... among the Aventura expansion, Brickell City Centre, and Miami World Center... never mind the continued rise of online shopping? I realize they aren't all after the same market, but an additional 3.5 million square feet of retail space seems ambitious.

12 Towers Seeking Approval in Miami

Quote:
With dozens of skyscrapers either under construction or proposed in the city, we take a look at the tallest towers for which applications have been submitted. Each of these projects will, if built as proposed, overtake the Four Seasons Hotel in height, creating an incredible shift in the skyline's peak.
