Even with the model, I would have expected the same surface treatment on both east and west sides.
I, too, wonder if the edge of the glass ledges will light up on the condo tower.

Old building has had parts of the cladding removed.

Check out the old vertical vents (less obtrusive than horizontal slats?):

It's been a while since I took a walk through the alley behind the condo tower because Sunday is usually the only day you can do that.

And looking up from the lane and alley at the two sides we don't see too much of. One pic of the office tower (6th one down).

I think it's Austerville (local company)

******

Thanks!

The middle "spine" on the north side shows how much nicer the darker (blue) glass looks.
Even the balcony glass looks better.

The use of spandrels have turned out quite decently here. I suppose the colour of spandrel isn't inherently bad, rather they way it's used and combined with the overall colour scheme that can make or break the overall aesthetics.

I just realized that it was from the former Rogers corporate store on the corner of Robson and Richards that I got my first cell phone in 1998. That was 18 years ago?!

This tower could have been so much better if they had used the same glass they used on the podium and on the sides of tower on the main facade.
