Just saw a note to Lynx employees that the airline will cease operations as of Sunday Feb 25. There was a rumour about a Flair/Lynx merger to be announced this week but I guess that did not pan out.

I just realised with Lynx's demise, that YQR is only served by two airlines: Air Canada and WestJet (I don't count Sunwing as it's basically WS at this point). A duopoly. They must be loving it, but what about passengers? I wonder if this has an effect on increased pricing for routes flown out of YQR.

Just as well that they folded before they started serving Saskatchewan and screwing up people's travel plans. Porter is the only "new" airline that I believe are actually capable of executing a business plan that will allow them to be a trustworthy air travel provider.

I actually like YXE and it puts YQR to shame. I was just commenting on where that other list came from.

I've only flown out of YQR once, but I think it has a much nicer pre-clearance area than YXE.

I've only flown out of YXE once and I thought the opposite of you. Maybe it was the fact that is was new and unfamiliar to me but it just seemed newer and more modern than YQR.

I'm flying MSP-YQR today and back on Tuesday. I'll lyk.

Hopefully it is busy because its so so convenient for some of us with family down in Minneapolis. Beats flying via YYZ any day of the week.

(Now if we could have multiple Q4's daily or even 737 service... NOW we're talking!)

Flying MSP-YQR last week was a breeze. Flight was 1 hr. 49 mins. Couldn't have been easier.

Now returning to MSP this morning was a little different. Instead of an 8:15am departure, I had a notification this morning on the WestJet App that the flight was delayed to 4:15PM! Crazy! 8 hr delay with no explanation.

We're now going via YWG. Just hard to understand how a flight could be delayed 8 hrs just like that with mild early-summer weather....

The website for the newly-branded "Montreal Metropolitan Airport" (YHU - St. Hubert) claims that service will be commencing to Saskatoon sometime in 2025. This would be Porter if it materializes. Would be nice to have a more reliable link to Montreal than the current sketchy seasonal AC Rouge service that exists.

Looks like their flights have now started.

What makes this a game changer for Saskatoon is Porter has interline/codeshare agreements with AirTransat. That provides solid competition for Air Canada between Saskatoon and Europe.

I have to disagree here. The Porter flight departs YXE at 5pm…
Making it an arrival into YYZ at 10pm. MCT in YYZ is likely an hour so you have missed a large portion of the AT flights departing the same day.
