Yup, I was wrong, the nodes are located at the top of parapet, looks like the structural engineer consultant re-configured the perimeter structure, damn old prints...

The 4 billion is not the construction cost but the project cost. It includes for example over 600 million for tenant fitout, what is called TI when you give a new tenant say $50/sq ft, plus commssions to brokers, fees for Durst durst etc.

Alright I have heard enough about Durst. They seem to be a group of a**holes that are ruining the project for everyone. Kick them out!

The Spire was a beautiful piece of architecture and really makes One World Trade Center Stand out. Not that's it's gone, it's like Durst and the Port Authority treat this as a regular office building.
It's not, it's a symbol to the world. Everybody will see it.
They can't come up with a way to fix the radome enclosure if one of the panels break, yet they find ways to make the strongest concrete, strongest steel, new base glass, and more.
It's sad, the people who stress to us the most that this building is a symbol, treat it as if it's a 2 story home.
Sad.

There is clearly a major lack of intelligence or accountablitiy behind this project that's for damn sure.

A lack of intelligence would be too convenient for them. Something tells me they were preparing to ditch the spire a long time ago.

Was walking down 43 st today and looking at the Condé Nast Building antenna which is very similar to what 1 wtc antenna is going to be and guessing that 1 wtc antenna might grow on me in time .

the World Trade Center has definitely lost its reputation of empty hole

i hope to come back to NY next year, it will look so impressive because the last time i went, in 2008, WTC was still "ground zero" and the Empire state building was shyly topping out the skyline of NY...

i hope glass will be finished in 2013 !
