EDIT: Is it just me, or is the image link function not working?
They did, but the neighborhood just north of the gravel pit/lake just to the north of the site put up a big stink and Adams County didn't offer any support to move it, so RTD left it where it will be.

Hopefully there's some sort of pedestrian bridge or something connecting the two sides of Federal in the future because crossing Federal right there is a bear...

Does getting the easement cleared up have anything to do with the DURA funding that is paying for the second level of the garage? I know that the funding is promised, but was their any requirement by DURA for certain permitting/construction milestones that had to be achieved before those funds were issued.

IIRC they are assuming that most pedestrians in the village will use the clear creek trail to go under Federal. Which is why that bridge over the creek close to the station was proposed.

I have seen the plan drawings for that area, and I believe that Adams County is not only going to rebuild 60th, they are going to add a traffic light. That should at least make it possible to cross Federal pretty easily. until the need for a Ped bridge can be determined.

There will be a signal at 60th when the new Park-n-Ride opens, but crossing a 6-lane road is never very fun. That was my only thought.

Soooo... the link to the GE Johnson website is has been taken down, and it has yet to be featured on the DenverInfill, should I give any weight to this proposal? Anyone know what's up?

Also does anyone have pictures of the Hyatt Place/Hyatt House Hotel? It has to be almost topped off by now.

Doesn't look too bad. I'm not worried about the Colorado law side of things. It's the FAA that terrifies me.

Ryan is not terrified of us sending up AAA to knock down his drone. We have terrible air defenses.

I agree. At least there is the Clear Creek path under Federal, mentioned earlier, for those who don't mind passing under a 6-lane road.

Our very own E/W representative on the board here quashed that one pretty quickly:

2. Making sure our costs are in line.
3. Making sure we can find a capital structure that works.

We think there could be huge demand, and we would love to do condominiums, with really significant retail at the base. But, until we can get it all solved, we won't be able to do so.

I'm curious what this would entail? There are two grocery stores either U/C or proposed, what other types of retail does E/W envision? I'd like to see actual retail (shops) and a mix of restaurants along the 17th St promenade where most of the pedestrians will be. I've walked around the area a lot and I'm not sure what would work best there. I hope that Block B and possibly also the block at 17th & Chestnut end up condos.

Probably a 7-11.

I totally agree though, would love to see some cool retail on 17th.

Ah, I didn't connect "block B" with this project.

My wife manages a fashion retail store in CCN, and I have previously worked for Room and Board in Cherry Creek. We both speculate often about what type of retail will go down there.

Downtown is primed for clothing/fashion retail, although I wouldn't be surprised if downtown gets an Apple store. Some other retailers who would probably sniff around down there are Anthropologie, J Crew, Lululemon, Levi's, Williams-Sonoma, Sports Authority Elite, Design Within Reach, I think Suit Supply would actually make more sense there than CCN. Who knows how long the lease agreements at the mall run, but some of these retailers are probably positioned for 2nd outposts or outright relocating.

The Whole Foods Effect is real and it is a strong magnet.
