I never buy Bud/But Light anyway, but it's alright beer if someone give you one. My favourite beer is free, my second favourite beer is cold, and after that I can start getting picky.

If Jonny helps me build my deck on a hot, sweltering day.. I will offer him a nice warm free beer and see how he reacts.

It's surprisingly refreshing. Before the pandemic I remember getting on a very warm Swiss flight from Montreal to Zurich. I don't know why it was that hot on board, but it was. I was sweating. Anyway, the cart came around with a nice can of room temperature (in the European manner, I guess) Swiss beer. I took it, and man, lukewarm beer never never tasted so good to me.

It was this beer... mmm... (not my pic)

It is surprising how cold something can feel when you're really thirsty

It's better than no beer, so it's still a "thanks!" If that's what you got, anyway. If you have cold beer, but held out on me....

Bud lite lime is way worse than "no beer". But yeah, I will gladly down a free (cold) Budweiser in the right circumstances, even though it is bereft of taste (so too is Molson Canadian, which tastes like air).

For single tall cans (500ml) it is Miller High Life and Laker Lager which are $2.00 each. There are a bunch of domestic ones that are $2.25 which includes Labatt Blue. The cheapest import is Martens which is Belgian and sells for $2.25.

As for cases of 24 bottles, the cheapest ones which aren't very cheap anymore are all $42.50 (price includes tax and deposit)

James Ready:

Black Label

Labatt Blue

Brava

Pabst Blue Ribbon

Busch

Upper Canada

Lakeport

Carling

And there are some others that are less well known. So I guess $42.50 is the floor price for a 24 of 5% beer in Ontario. It was only in 2018 when Doug Ford promised to bring back "buck a beer" where a 24 cost $26.40 but of course that didn't happen with the exception of a few very short promos and those beers don't even exist anymore.

I was on a Swiss Air flight from Zurich to Montreal and had that exact same beer. It was wet and that is about all I could say. Otherwise the flight was great but not quite Singapore Airlines for the view

On the same trip had another 'it was cold and wet and I think it missed my taste buds' kind of beer

https://untappd.com/b/brasserie-de-s...hinberg/728331

A can of this swill came with a 5 euro pizza that fed 4 in Nice France. The owners gave me the beer and my wife and daughter got a bottled water and so did our 16 year old son. Unlimited toppings for 5 euro cash. Cash only. Our daughter said the staff were always changing and they were moving on stolen cars in a side garage. Classic money laundering kind of place.

Great pizza but crap beer.

I checked the Manitoba Liquor Mart website and it seems that 12 and 15 packs are where most of the variety is. The cheapest is this bad boy, a 15 pack of Brewhouse (from Sask) on sale for $24.19. I've never tried this, I might have to give it a go when I deplete my stock of Original 16.

In terms of 24s, Coors Light is $45.99.

Remember in Manitoba as in many other provinces, the shelf price does not include tax and deposit. So, the $45.99 shelf price ends up being $53.91 once tax and deposit added.

Anyone remember those Minhas brewery commercials? "Damn good beer".

.. that tastes like ass.

Ever since those assholes demolished this warehouse here I have refused to spend a dime on their products.

There is something about that family that rubs me the wrong way. I don't know what it is.

I find her rude and dismissive and quite standoffish to people on the show. If I was on the show, I would never target my pitch to her.

Her brewery from what I can tell basically sells swill beer and many novelty flavoured beers.
