No new permits or plan reviews submitted, but that is awesome to see! By chance, was Clayco mentioned as the contractor on the fence banner? I'm hoping Clayco builds this concurrent with First McKinley as Katerra was originally planning to do.

Edit: Also, this isn't staging for phase 2 of X Phoenix. This is a separate development.

Oops, I take that back. JE Dunn is the contractor for First McKinley. not Clayco. Guess we'll see what happens here.

I didn’t notice clayco or any other info, I don’t believe there was a website either. It was relatively generic but it’s wrapped around that whole property. The x company website only lists “x Phoenix” and doesn’t say anything about “x Roosevelt”.

They were originally gonna call it "X Basecamp". I'm glad they're not going with that horrible name

Went back and dug up my documents on X Roosevelt (aka Basecamp). The height is actually proposed at 234', not 245. My bad.

Clayco completes construction of X Phoenix in downtown core

Phase 2 breaking ground this Spring!

https://azbigmedia.com/real-estate/clayco-completes-construction-of-x-phoenix-in-downtown-core/

Quote:
The recently completed first phase of X Phoenix is a 20-story, 330-unit concrete structure that features prefabricated glass and an EIFS panel building envelope. Its five-story parking garage contains 612 stalls, and an indoor bike mezzanine with 159 bike parking spots and bike wash station. The eighth floor contains a 100,500-gallon pool and 14,000-gallon spa pool, with a poolside bar and restaurant scheduled to open in April 2022. The ninth floor features 9,000-square-feet of gym space, including a locker room and yoga studio. There is also 50,000-square-feet of shell space that will include a commercial restaurant and co-working areas to be built out by Clayco.

Phase 2 of X Phoenix, to be constructed by Clayco, will include a 26-story tower directly adjacent to Phase 1 and will break ground this spring.

This project and Central Station have changed so many times in proposed heights, I've given up on trying to figure it out. We won't know until they both have their topping out ceremonies.

X PHX I is 20+Mezzanine, X PHX II is 25+Mexxanine and Rooftop Dog Park, I think that is where the discrepancies are coming into play.. Height wise, I is 266' and II is 320'.

Also, Clayco has an estimated GB of Mid-May for X PHX II. Apparently X Roosevelt is probably a 4Q GB.

I personally don't think the tower looks bad at all, I actually really like the exposed slabs and extruded columns on the roof, but the garage is the part that kills it cause its overbearing size. Plus, similar to Derby, the building looks nice from the South, but terrible from North cause that's the "throw away" façade. Also, that gradient green wall is awful, I had to be a band aid concession with the City.

At this point 90% of the time somebody gives a floor count the source has to be another person miscounting them by hand after eyeballing a render.

Unless there's a sheet approved for construction nothing is authoritative.

I can't wait to see McKinley Green built. I think it will look great. I'm just not a fan of the name. It reminds me of Cabrini-Green.
