I don't disagree. There's little within the traditional CBD or Escarpment District of this caliber. We might be able to point to Performance Court and the WEP, but that's a stretch.
That said, it's good that we'll at least have these three towers providing some unique architecture in our traditional skyline, and since only the top few floors of the two tallest towers will be visible, it should end up looking pretty good and give the skyline some variety without standing out like a sore thumb.
I hope we don't end up with a district of Starchitecture at Lebreton/Zibi/Bayview (like the City of London, for example), and so far that doesn't seem to be the case. Zibi has some high quality buildings without screaming for attention. The Trinity towers are relatively basic, maybe a bit too basic for what will be the tallest building(s) for decades, if not forever. LeBreton, well, we shall see. Claridge still hasn't produced of proposed anything earth-shattering. The library is above average, but won't be super visible. Who knows what the library parcel or the rest of LeBreton will look like.
