There was stipulation by the neighbors that CHOP agreed to that the retail tenants couldn't be passive/inactive type tenants... I believe the example of what was NOT going to be allowed would be something like a credit union. I believe there was even active neighbor pushback against something like an Au Bon Pain because it is too office oriented and would likely be closed early/on weekends.

This is what I recollect from the series of meetings and compromises a while back. Lets hope someone puts something great on the south street side because it will have great river/UCity views.
