Sorry, I haven't really been paying attention to anything Olympic related. What sort of hockey tickets are still available, if any? I decided I should at least try to get some tickets to any sort of hockey game.
Obviously I'm probably laughably late on this, so is there any chance I'd be able to get tickets to any game?

Please don't make too much fun of me.

Really? How many pay cheques would one have to hand over for some medal round tickets?

Hmm, I think the "If you have to ask, you can't afford it." rules come in to effect for these ones.

Meh, I live with my mom, my expenses are next to none, so I can splurge every once in a while.

I don't expect to get any tickets though, just because I figure tickets for any hockey games will sell incredibly fast. It's more like, if I happen to get some, then awesome, if I don't oh well.

Wow, much cheaper than I would have expected actually. Which may or may not be a good thing, they'll only sell that much faster.

I donno, Stanley Cup Final tickets aren't nearly that expensive. But, I guess, people in Vancouver can be scared we'll never see that... so this is good enough.

I think I'd rather go to an Olympic game, I love international competition.

November 14 at noon, I'll be there trying to get some. I wonder if I should call or try online.

you mean "nov 14th at 10am"!

try online - the call centres definitely can't handle very many people.

I'm in Saskatoon, but yeah, 10am Pacific time.

Maybe I'll try online while on the phone.

And when the website inevitably crashes, something tells me tickets.com call centre can not take orders, as they probably intertwined the two.

The website works now, but all the tickets are "not currently available".

I guess we can plan which tickets we want, if the tickets displayed are actually the tickets available. I sure hope so! I really really do.

Unfortunately, there seem to be tickets for every event, or at least more events than I thought there were tickets being released for...

I don't know.

CBeats, that is how the ticketing website has looked all week with the exception of last night and today.. no real indication regarding availability.

Is there a way to make a "wish list" so you don't have to search through their broken website come next Saturday?

Probably late November since the phase 3 sales is now postponed. Be prepared to pay a premium above the face value price for the ticket.

Well, it does say "face value" which leads me to believe nobody will actually use it.

D**! The web site failed again, search doesn't work. I am really curious about the technology the site uses, it can be a case study of thing to avoid building high traffic web site.

Supposedly the same thing happened when they offered tickets to Whistler residents, though it was not postponed.

If they can't handle traffic from Whistler, how do they expect to handle traffic from MILLIONS of Canadians who have been told they will have a chance at getting tickets for gold medal events?

The same thing happened during phase 2, though it was also not postponed. It came online about 6 hours later.

Tickets.com is just amazingly inept. They need to stick to small time university basketball events.

Nope.. you can (and should) create your ticketing account in advance though.
