Holy Shit they are proposing that for the Best Western? That would be some much needed density in the Lougheed area. Do you think it is likely to get approved?

Wait is this replacing the one next to the Foggy Dew, or am I confusing the Best Western with another hotel?

On a somewhat related matter King Edward Centre, thats the mall with the Winners/Princess Auto was just sold for $19.1Million. At that price the owner will certainly have some plans for the site.

I've been waiting to see the design of this for awhile, thanks. It's nothing spectacular but looks like a good example of modern minimalist architecture.I wonder if any wood will be used for the interior/exterior finishing.

^That's actually what I thought at first. This new branch however, will be built across the street as part of the Esprit development that Bosa is building. I think the city made a deal with them to replace the old library for extra density or something.

New residential highrise planned for Edmonds & 18th st in Burnaby. According to the Now Ledingham McAllister is trying to rezone the site of it's assembeld properties to allow for a highrise, townhouses and a future lowrise. Apparently it is having difficulty negotiating with one of the last property owners. I really hope this development goes through cause currently there are only shitty/ugly houses on that corner. It is also a prime location for high density housing as it is literally only about a 3 minute walk away from Edmonds Station.

Looks like there will be another tower going in where the old Canadian tire store is in Brentwood across from the tower+office building on Lougheed highway. There is one more tower going in on Douglas rd thats separate from those two towers whos rendering has already been posted. Another tower/towers will be going in near Kingsway and Sperling across from the three towers that were built 5 or so years ago. The final millenium tower on Dawson should also start construction soon. Probably missing a bunch of stuff but im too lazy to go through the whole list.

Here's some good news, we've heard about this for a while now, but it is a go now. MetroTower 3 has had plans submitted to trades.
