Why? Unless they are personally doing the murdering, that would be silly. I doubt many here are fans of the concept of collective guilt.
Anyway, El Salvador's situation continues to be rather grim. The government pledged to "take action" following a massacre of 11 people (mainly day-laborers) near a small town called San Juan Opico, but has been crippled by endless corruption and incompetence.
Among other recent scandals, numerous videos emerged of strippers performing at a prison in the town of Izalco which houses gang-members and murder suspects, followed by videos of politicians meeting surreptitiously with gang leaders inside of another prison, for some unknown purpose.
There are often daily mass-murders of 3 to 5 individuals at once. The state is so thoroughly inept and penetrated by gang-money and agents that effective action seems almost impossible inside the legal frameworks of a "normal" country. Which is why there seem to be increasing rumors of a more drastic military "solution".
