That's right, I noticed that effect. Good thing too that I actually like the tower. It's got a good form.

A panorama of the central Ottawa-Gatineau skylines from the West looking East, and two heavily cropped shots of two of the larger secondary skylines in Ottawa, Little Italy and Tunney's Pasture/Westboro.

Coming in on the 50 from Gatineau you would think there was a whole new city being constructed with all the cranes.

Kelowna is really moving on up since I lived there (1994). The bridge is much wider than the wretched 3-laner of yesteryear. But where does the traffic get funnelled to? Harvey Avenue, still? The traffic must be atrocious, given all the access points and traffic lights on this street.

Love Kelowna, and go there often, but Harvey Avenue/HWY 97 is right up there among Canada's Worst Stroads

It took me over 50 minutes to go from Gorman Bros. Mill to the bridge (14.6km). The traffic along Hwy 97 in the summer is brutal.

God damn MTL is in a league of its own.

Ottawa/Gatineau is killing it and Kelowna is neat to watch growth from above.

That’s a bit of a stretch. Harvey Ave may be a stroad but it is landscaped beautifully, has some some pretty dense areas, lots of trees and shrubbery. Nowhere near Canadas worst stroads.

Coming from someone from the prairies, you should know better.

The “new” 5 lane bridge in Kelowna always makes me chuckle.

Under-built like so much road infrastructure in this city/region/province.

One of the most impressive skylines!
It is easy to forget that the St Joseph's Oratory (visible in the 1st photo) is a very distinguishable feature on the Montreal skyline. That is because it is rarely visible in the relatively close views of the downtown skyline. It becomes more prominent from far away where it looms over Mont-Royal.

Love Aldred and the old Royal Bank in the 2nd photo!

To be fair, most bridges and infrastructure has been underbuilt as no one projected the level of growth we are seeing across Canada.
