You just quote the first two photos when you say that...I was kind of thinking the same until I saw the third. The wide shot shows how deep the color of the glass is. While only a few panels are up the effect as a whole is much more impressive. I am actually more exited after seeing it. I prefer this more green glass to the sky blue in the renders...it will contrast with white paint better and thusly draw more focus to the undulating balconies.

Kind of hard to believe that the bulk of the structure of the podium will be wrapping up just a few months. Once they get that crane pad out of there, the steel is gonna really start flying up.

Personally I don't give a shit if the glass on this building is wavy, isn't that part of the point of this building, waves? I am actually very happy with the glass, it is much more colorful than I had expected and is already adding another dimension to this building.

: The crane that was on the pad transfered a load of 1.4 milllion pounds when it had the large girders on the hook and those girders weigh 60 ton each. This is all supported on top a five story parking structure which had to be transfered down to the building supports..........The tower crane is getting assembled and will be running this week..........

I think he's probably alluding to waviness just color. If Loewenburg is pulling the strings you know it's gonna be cheap stuff. Appropriate color would, of course, be aqua (see hunk of aquamarine in the middle of below photo):



I really wish they weren't painting the concrete.

Post stress - the "townhomes" section. The cables will embedded in the concrete and tightened after the concrete cures. Concrete is strongest under compression and squeezing it in the horizontal plane actually makes it stronger in the vertical.

The footprint of site "C" - where the Arquitectonica tower will stand - has been consolidated from what were three separate sites into one, as the renders would suggest. So a confirmation of sorts on the more massive of the AQ designs. Site C is also the only of the future site footprints to have a letter designation, apart from the mysteriously-named "Site O" adjacent to Aqua - so looks like it's batters-up for the AQ tower.

Also, the Swisshotel Ballroom is designated in light blue - has Magellan acquired it for development as well?

It seems like the entrance area, especially with that memorial or whatever it is in front, is going to be a bit of a squeeze.. comparing it to the rendering at least. or does that empty space across from the entrance help to alleviate this?
