NYguy, great shots as always. Going to miss your work over the next couple of weeks. I’m guessing that the framing sticking out on the Park Ave. end has something to do with the hoist.

Hopefully there will be people out taking photos of the site.

I think a lot of us quit bothering to take photos because you and Chris always seem to find better ones on the net, lol (not complaining). I'll grab some when I'm over that way next week, but there's always an arsenal of professional shots to choose from nonetheless - my S10 can't really compete!

^ We can never have too many photos. Everybody’s eye is different. So snap away!

This building reminds me of 425 Park Ave, except it will be much bigger.

I thought this would be a fun project; I've edited the famous YIMBY and ATChain renderings to reflect the design shown in the latest DOB diagrams:

Hope you all enjoy it in the absence of official images

I agree. Very impressive work.

P.S.: This tower is going to be a showstopper.

Dang, nice work!

I thought 270 Park Avenue was leaning towards Tower Fifth or it’s just an illusion lol.

I've been saying that since I first joined the SSP forum in 1997 - everyone's eye is different, the lighting and weather is always different, the way the camera captures the images ... you get the idea. We all appreciate everyone's photos

Just got back from an absolutely wonderful trip to the Hamptons and a few days in the City. I'm not a structural engineer but good lord this is a bad@ass beast of a building with the bones to show for it.

Beatiful renderings and photos. So much better to see in the daytime. This tower will be a massive beast.

I like the look of that shiny, pristine steel!

^ I’m pretty sure it’s painted. Pristine steel is basically rusted as soon as it’s made.

Yeah that's not pristine steel. Not much of that in the structural steel world. Especially not hot rolled and fabricated i-beams. Those will oxidize by breathing on them.

What the hell is the projecting beamwork for anyways? Could that be for the tower crane?

It doesn’t look beefy enough to support a tower crane, unless it’s just a brace. My guess is it will be part of the hoist.

Agreed, I've seen other drawings on this forum that showed that as the location of the hoist. And a previous post indicated there were applications for four tower cranes. All good stuff!

that would be an odd location for the lift considering the diamond structure comes to a point there on several floors blocking access.
